ADOBE ACROBAT SHUTTING DOWN SUDDENLY

My Adobe Acrobat Professional was running perfectly, but for an unknown reason, I started experiencing sudden shutdowns after 10 sec of running the Adobe Acrobat Pro program.

The first thing that came to my mind is to try the repair tool in the control panel. I thought this might fix my problem since I had installed lots of programs recently and had to modify some items in my registry.

Unfortunately, the time I waited for the repair tool to finish went in vain since this sudden shutdown problem wasn’t resolved.

So I had to Google this sudden shutdown problem since it was so annoying and you can’t even read any PDF file.

I found a good looking solution on the Adobe Acrobat’s FORUM. They mentioned that deleting the preferences folder located at

c:\Documents and Settings\ [User Name] \Application Data Adobe\Acrobat\8.0

will resolve the problem, since the next time you run Acrobat, it will regenerate these preferences.

So I tried also this good looking solutions, but unfortunately it didn’t resolve the problem.

After reading more about this issue, an idea came to my mind.

I tried ending the task of Acrotray.exe and then running it again as an Administrator.

It seemed that this short solution worked :) since I am still opening Acrobat from the time I tried it.

Hope this will solve your problem too, and let me know if you need any help..
